Friedrich Wilhelm Rabe, the son of Friedrich and Friedericke Rabe, was born on September 10, 1877, in Jackson County, Indiana. He was baptized September 23, 1877, by Rev. Kretzmann and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Zion Lutheran Church in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, on July 30, 1893. On May 22, 1906, he was united in marriage to Augusta Carolina Wandersee in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. Fred passed away at the State Hospital in Willmar, Minnesota on March 7, 1962, at the age of 84 years. His wife, Augusta, preceded him in death in August 1947. Also preceding him in death was his sister, Mrs. August Nehring of Enid, Oklahoma. He is survived by one brother, Henry Rabe, and one sister, Mrs. Martin Schroeder, both of Enid, Oklahoma, and a number of nieces and nephews. IN MEMORY OF FRED W.
