Fredolph Friberg, 97, of Ft. Collins, Colorado (formerly of Clarkfield, Minnesota) died at Ft. Collins on May 31, 2006. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 13, at 9:30 a.m. at the Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield with interment to follow at the Fridhem Cemetery of Tyro Township. Fredolph Friberg was born November 26, 1908, to parents Charles (C.P.) and Louise Anderson Friberg in rural Clarkfield. He attended district 29 and Clarkfield High School, graduating with the class of 1926. He attended the University of Minnesota for two years and then returned to his home farm. He served three and a half years in the U.S. Air Force with time spent in both the European Theatre and in the Indian Pacific Theatre. He married Viola Knutson on April 24, 1946. They spent most of their married life farming in the Fergus Falls - Alexandria, Minnesota area. Viola died in 2003. Fredolph and Vi spent many years of retirement in Glenwood, Minnesota. Since 2000 they had lived with their daughter in Fort Collins, Colorado. He is survived by a daughter-in-law Barbara Friberg and grandchildren Justin Friberg and Stacy (Matt) Fiedler; a son Nathan (Margaret) Friberg and grandchildren Angela (Derek) Joesting with great granddaughter Ella, Michael, Daniel (Jess) and Rachel Friberg; a daughter Julie (Bruce) Fitzgerald and grandchildren Karley (Denis) Rivera, Kristian (Vanessa) and Shaye Fitzgerald; and numerous nieces and nephews.
