Freddie S. Nelson, 79, formerly of Clarkfield, Minnesota, died Saturday, August 17, 1985, at Parkview Nursing Home in Belview, Minnesota. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 1985, from the Clarkfield Lutheran Church, Clarkfield, Minnesota, with Pastor Ralph Belin officiating. The organist was Karen Donner with solo music by Tim Klabunde. Congregational Hymns: "Praise the Savior, Now and Ever" "Oh For a Thousand Tongues to Sing" "Thine is the Glory" Casket Bearers were LeRoy Nelson, Leo Olson, Art Nielson, Curtis Nielson, Carl Skulstad and Scott Winson. Final Resting Place is the Greenwood Cemetery of Sauk Centre, Minnesota, with Pastor William Altmaan officiating. He was born October 6, 1905, in Clarkfield to Jacob and Martha (Winson) Nelson. He spent many years as custodian of the Sauk Centre Public School. He is survived by his children, Norma Robinson of Eagan, Minnesota and Catherine Gridley of Manhattan Beach, Minnesota; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Noble; sisters-in-law, Randi Nelson and Edna Nelson.
