Fred O. Larson, 95, of Edgerton, Minnesota, and formerly of Clarkfield, Minnesota, died Thursday, January 31, 1985, at the Edgebrook Rest Center in Edgerton. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 2, 1985, at the Lynner Furneral Home Chapel in Clarkfield with Pastor Gordon Trelstad officiating. Vocal Music was by Mr. Merrill P. Womack. Casket Bearers were Charles Jorgenson, Dennis Jorgenson, Ray Miller, Lawrence Orres, Robert W. Roti and Harold Sanwick. Final Resting Place is the Clarkfield City Cemetery, Clarkfield, Minnesota. He was born August 14, 1889, in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota to Ole and Johanna (Johnson) Larson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He married Mabel Jorgenson August 25, 1915 in Clarkfield and worked as manager for the grain elevators in both Hayfield, Minnesota, and Lake Wilson, Minnesota. In 1942 they moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mabel died November, 1965. He spent the remaining years at the Edgebrook Rest Center in Edgerton. He is survived by son Fred Jr. of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; daughter Vernice Bose of Pipestone, Minnesota; two grandchildren; one great grandchild and one great great grandchild.
