Fred T. Leppke, 92, died at Canby Senior Haven, January 17, 1984. Funeral services were held Friday, January 20, 1984, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, with Pastor David Meyer officiating. Organist was Mrs. James Mamer. Congregational Hymns were sung. Fred T. Leppke was born August 13, 1891, in Faulk County, South Dakota. He was baptized in South Dakota. At the age of two years, he moved with his parents, Herman and Julia (Wegner) Leppke to Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was confirmed in 1904 at St. John's Lutheran Church, where he was a life long member. He married Martha Roske, February 1, 1916. He was a farmer and did carpenter work all his life. He lived in Tyro Township until October, 1981, when he entered Canby Senior Haven. He is survived by his daughter Lydia (Mrs. Erhardt) Koepp; sons, Arnold, Edmund, Harry and Victor, all of this area; four grandsons; five great grandchildren; one sister, Erna Schmidtke. He was prededed in death by his wife, Martha in, 1975; Grandson, Lyle Leppke; three brothers, John, Alfred and Edmund; and his parents. Casket Bearers were Dennis Koepp, Donald Leppke, Wilfred Leppke, Herman Ochsendorf, Merle Weckwerth and Arnold Walter.
