Fred Anderson was born on April 9, 1907 in Vallers Township, Lyon County, Minnesota to parents, Andrew and Mathia (Enkenhus) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, Normania Township and attended Rural School District # 56. Fred and his sister Lillie farmed their entire life. Lillie passed away in 1994. Fred continued to live on their farm until he entered Luther Haven Nursing Home, Montevideo, Minnesota in 1995. Fred passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 1998 at Luther Haven at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 17 days. He is survived by four nieces and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lillie, two half sisters: Mollie Reimestad and Allie Miller and one half brother, Albert Hovdesven. Blessed be the memory of Fred Anderson.
