Forest Kise was born July 29, 1907, in Lac qui Parle County to Hans and Bergit (Stensrud) Kise. He was baptized by Rev. Rondesvedt and confirmed by Rev. G.S. Froiland. He lived with his parents all his life in this county and the past 40 years in Boyd. He was a painter by trade and operated the Recreation Parlors the past several years until his health began to fail. He entered the University Hospital in the spring of 1963 for surgery and has been in failing health ever since. He entered the Clarkfield Community Hospital on July 7, 1964, and died on August 21, 1964, at the age of 57 years. His parents, one brother and three sisters: Ida (Mrs. Emil Ellingson), Hannah and Elvina, preceded him in death. He is survived by three brothers: Oscar and Lloyd of Clarkfield, Manfred of Boyd; two sisters: Cora (Mrs. George Jacobson) of Big Lake, Minnesota, and Gladys (Mrs. Oscar Bestland) of Hanley Falls, and a close friend, Verna Uveness of Boyd. Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends also will miss him.
