Florence G. Hofmann was born on October 19, 1910 at Clarkfield, Minnesota to parents John and Mabel (Ness) Stenson. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd, Minnesota. Florence married Roy L. Hofmann on September 14, 1935. To this union three sons were born: Earl, Gene, and Gary. Florence and Roy lived on the Hofmann Family Farm all their married years and until Roy's death in 1988. Florence continued to live there until 1991 when she moved to an apartment in Dawson and to the Johnson Memorial Nursing Home in July of 1995. Florence enjoyed crocheting and flower gardening. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd. Florence passed away on Sunday, November 9, 1997 at the Johnson Memorial Home at the age of 87 years, and 22 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy, and brother Sheridan Stenson. She is survived by her sons: Earl (and Burnell) of Brainerd, Gene (and Janice) of Dawson, and Gary (and Wendy) of Clarkfield; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Joan Anderson of Boyd and Carol (and Gerald) Ecklund of Minneapolis and several nieces and nephews.
