Mrs. Clifford (Florence) Sandager, 75, died March 19, 1989, at Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital, Montevideo, Minnesota. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 1989, at Clarkfield Lutheran Church, Clarkfield, Minnesota, with Pastor Gordon Trelstad officiating. Casket Bearers were Bob and Jeff Nielsen, Mark and Todd Arlt, Dion Evenoldsen, Ray Henricksen and Allen Bukowski. Florence was born June 25, 1913, to Lars and Thea (Olson) Winson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. She married Clifford Sandager October 13, 1938. She owned and operated the F and C Cafe in Clarkfield for a number of years before her employment at the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota, where she worked as a cook and aide for 17 years. Since the time of her retirement, she has enjoyed her many friends and various hobbies living at Valhalla apartments. She is survived of her husband Clifford, five daughters, Ann (Mrs. Curt Nielsen) of Marshall, Minnesota, Bethel (Mrs. Larry Arlt) of Marshall, Minnesota, Cheryl (Mrs. Roger Bergeson) of Dawson, Minnesota, Diane (Mrs. Dennis Enevoldsen) of Montevideo, Minnesota, and Elaine Sandager of Bryan, Texas; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one sister, Ella Larson of Clarkfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
