Florence Carol (Macht) Zietlow was born to parents Henry and Helen (Steinke) Macht on April 9, 1946 in Omro Township, Boyd, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Omro Township, Boyd, Minnesota. She attended St. John's Parochial School and graduated from the Boyd High School. Florence was united in marriage to Donald Zietlow at Zion Lutheran Church, Tyro Township, Boyd, Minnesota on January 2, 1965. This union was blessed with four children: Rebecca, James, Mary, and Steven. Florence passed away at her home in Boyd on Wednesday evening, October 23, 1996 at the age of 50 years, 6 months, and 15 days after losing her battle with cancer. She is survived by her family: husband Donny, and children: Rebecca (and special friend Terry Johnson) of Dawson, James of St. Cloud, Mary (and Rick) Newmann of Bumsville, and Steven of Boyd. At the time of her death she is also survived by two grandchildren: Victoria Zietlow and Blake Newmann; sisters Arlene (and Wayne) Spiess of Dawson, Irene (and Harry) Peters of Montevideo, several brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, and nephews and nieces and special Aunt Hildegard. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Muriel in infancy. Florence had a special love for her grandchildren and loved to sew and quilt. She will be greatly missed. Blessed be her memory.
