Flora Harriet Koepp was born on February 23, 1917, to parents Harry and Martha (Goetz) Garrison in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1925 she was adopted by William and Ida Pipke due to health problems of her parents. Flora was confirmed in 1931 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Omro Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Flora and Herbert Koepp were united in marriage on March 6, 1941. This union brought forth seven children. Family was very important to her and she loved getting together for the holidays so all would be together at one time. The church and her strong faith in God, helped her through many hard times, especially these last years. Flora enjoyed her ceramics, making quilts, crocheting, gardening, canning and her church activities. In March of 1999, she was admitted to the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota, being diagnosed with Alzheimers. She was a resident there until the end of November of 2000 at which time she was transferred to the Franklin Nursing Home in Franklin, Minnesota. Flora passed away on Tuesday morning, December 19, 2000, at the Redwood Falls Hospital at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 26 days. She is survived by her husband, Herbert, of Clarkfield; daughter Carol (and husband Robert) Jensen of Garland, Texas; sons Gordon (and wife Donna) of rural Clarkfield, David (and wife Cheryl) of Alexandria, Minnesota, and Bradley (and wife Kim) of rural Boyd, Minnesota. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister Irene Schmidtke of Montevideo, Minnesota; and brother Harry Garrison of LaCracenta, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Jenny; foster brother Norbert Kerlin; and three infant sons.
