Fern Ellen (Eblen) Reisner was born July 9, 1944 at Glenwood, Minnesota to parents Clarence and Gladys (Mills) Eblen. She was baptized in Ansel Township, Cass County, near Pine River, Minnesota. Fern attended and graduated from Pine River High School. Fern married Leslie Reisner at Pine River, MN on September 5, 1964. Two children were born to this marriage: Wayne and Wendy. Les and Fern moved to Hanley Falls, MN in 1967. She worked at various jobs including: Granite Falls Hospital, Firefly Casino and Bennett and Bennett Bus Garage. She was a member of Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church and the Ladies WELCA. Fern's health began to fail 15 years ago and she has spent the last years at her home with her husband and children. She passed away on Saturday, March 29, 1997 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 52 years, 9 months, and 21 days. She is survived by her husband, Les and children Wayne and Wendy of Hanley Falls; and brothers Floyd (and Ruby) Eblen, Roy (and Joyce) Eblen; and sisters Shirley (and Dwight) Parker, and Frances Mead; and step-brother Calvin (and Arlis) Thompson and step-sister Gwendolyn (and Bernard) Vogel; and aunts Lillian Eblen and Loretta Mills and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Eleanor.
