Evelyn Ruby Moe was born July 19, 1915, in Lake Mills, Iowa, to parents Andrina (Thompson) and Ole T. Moe. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Evelyn married Emil Sievers on April 5, 1942, in Dawson, Minnesota. They farmed in rural Boyd. She resided there until her move to Valhalla Apartments in Clarkfield in 1990. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was active in the LWML. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and her grandchildren. Evelyn passed away at her home in Clarkfield on Saturday, December 20, 1997, at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 2 days. She is survived by her children: Marlys (and Jerry) Thomsen of Canby, MN; Merlyn (and Darla) Sievers of Seattle, WA; Gerald (and Kriss) Sievers of Sauk Centre, MN; and Lois (and Jim) Adamson of North Platte, ME. She is also survived by grandchildren Jeffrey and Jodi Thomsen, Shannon and Scott (and Sara) Sievers, Ryan and Laura Sievers, Brandon and Austin Adamson and great grandson Dillon Adamson and sister Elnora Lange of Montevideo, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; her parents; an infant sister Gilma; three brothers, Marvin, Telford, and Arlen Moe; and grandchild Jessica Olson. Blessed be her memory.
