Mrs. Eva Hieb was born July 4, 1883, in Bon Homme County, South Dakota, the daughter of Chris Kaul and Rosana (Weisser) Kaul. She passed away October 8, 1954, at the home of her daughter, Helena (Mrs. Henry Jessen), in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, at the age of 71 years. Mrs. Heib had made her home with her daughter for the past year. Mrs. Hieb was preceded in death by her husband Adolph Hieb; daughter, Bertha Schmitgen, and son, Otto Survivors include daughters: Helena Jessen, Pauline Jessen, Ida Erp, Alma Masher, Emma Behrman and Ruth Winter; sons: Samuel, Leo, Herman, Ruben and Alvin.
