Eugene Charles Connors was born March 28, 1938, in Minnesota, the son of John and Ruby (Hegle) Connors. He was married to Karen Redetzke on August 7, 1965. The couple resided in LeSueur, Minnesota. Gene was employed at the Mankato Free Press. He recently returned after serving with the armed forces in Europe. Formerly he served as a reporter on the Rock County Star and Herald at Luverne and with the Associated Press at Fargo, North Dakota. Mr. Connors passed away September 18, 1965, at Janesville Township, Waseca County, Minnesota, the result of an automobile accident, at the age of 26 years. Survivors include his wife, Karen; his mother, Mrs. Ruby Connors, of Ruthton, Minnesota; mother- in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylen Redetzke of Hanley Falls, Minnesota.
