Ethel O. Iverson Akre Miller was born on November 30, 1915, in Lisbon Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to Olaf and Emma (Sorenson) Iverson. She was baptized in infancy by Rev. John Solhus an confirmed by Rev. C.A. Haugland on October 28, 1928, at Bergen Lutheran Church of Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County. She attended elementary and high school in Clarkfield, Minnesota. She was united in marrige to Palmer Akre of Echo, Minnesota, and to this union was born one son. Ethel was a lifelong resident of this area working as a telephone operator in Boyd, Minnesota and Clarkfield, Minnesota. On February 26, 1960, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Miller of rural Dawson, Minnesota. Although confined to a wheelchair for many years due to rheumatoid arthritis, she was always cheerful, loving and concerned with her family. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd. Ethel entered the Clarkfield Hospital on April 17, 1980, and passed away on April 18, 1980, at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 18 days. She is survived by her husband Lawrence of Dawson; son Ordell of Clarkfield; four grandchildren: Brian, Vicki, Tiffany and Tammy; one great grandson, Jason; and one brother, Oliver Iverson of Boyd.
