Esther C. Larson, 85, died September 28, 2004, at the Granite Falls Manor, Granite Falls, Minnesota. Her funeral was held October 1, 2004, at Lynner Funeral Home with Pastor Sue Seiffert officiating. Casketbearers were Bruce, Daniel, Dale, Gary and Vernon Ellingson and Jeff Tusberg. Interment was in Spring Creek Cemetery of Normania Township. Esther Caroline Larson was born April 19, 1919, on a farm southeast of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, to Andrew and Julia (Vike) Thostenson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended public school in Hanley Falls. Wallace Larson and Esther were married May 4, 1938. Esther and Wallace were caretakers of Spring Creek Lutheran Church of Normania Township for many years. They lived on the farm until 1983 when they moved to Riverview Apartments in Granite Falls, Minnesota. Wallace died in 1983 and Esther lived at the apartment until October 1999 when she moved to the Granite Manor of Granite Falls. She is survived by her sister Mavis (and Lyman) Ellingson; five nephews: Vernon, Dale, Bruce, Gary and Daniel Ellingson, and one niece, Carol Tusberg. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Tebert, Marvin and Edward; and two sisters, Sarah and Sadie.
