Esther B. Hardel was born on April 11, 1903, in Normania Township in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to her parents Charlotte and Martin Anderson. She was baptized on June 14, 1903, in Clarkfield and confirmed on April 27, 1919, at the Bethlehem Church. In 1921, she married Edwin A. Lindblad and they had one daughter, Edith. They farmed and later owned a restaurant in Hanley Falls. Edwin passed away in 1968. On November 12, 1955, she married Marvin Hardel. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and a life member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking. She looked forward to attending Senior Citizens every week and playing pinochle. Esther passed away on February 11, 1997 at the Belview Nursing Home. She is survived by her daughter Edith, granddaughter Corinne, two great grandchildren, brother Elmer and sisters Helen and Irma. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin, brother Milford, sisters Marion and Julia.
