Ernest Franklin Quale, son of Albert and Carrie (Larsen) Quale, was born December 19, 1920, in Clarkfield, Minnesota. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith on January 9, 1921, and confirmed on May 3, 1936, at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Ernest attended school in Dorset, Minnesota and Nevis, Minnesota and graduated from Clarkfield High School. During W.W.II, Ernest served his country in the U.S. Army, entering service in 1942 and being honorably discharged in 1945. Ernest was employed at a lumber company in Klamath Falls, Oregon for 30 years and later did carpentry work there. Ernest passed away in Klamath Falls on Sunday, January 13, 1991, at the age of 70 years. Surviving Ernest are one brother, Obert and his wife, Elise of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; three nieces, Mrs. Nelva Jacobsen, Mrs. Carelle Bellcour and Mrs. Alberta Bjornrud all of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and one nephew, Joe Kell of Oakland, Oregon along with many great nieces and great nephews. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Stella Bertina Kell.
