A LETTER OF LOVING MEMORY OF ERNEST LEE Our dear Husband, Dad and Grandpa We, the members of your family, have suffered a great loss in your death. But now the shock is ending and reality begins. This letter is being written because in our hearts we believe that you are up there, in heaven, watching and listening to those of us left behind. You will always be greatly missed. That is because we all loved you so much. For that reason we must understand that if we loved you in life, we must love you enough in death to be strong and allow you your happiness without letting it make us unhappy. You led a full and happy life, and you had a zest for living. You were a kind and gentle man who lived the way more people should. You valued all the REAL things in life like people, their feelings, and things such as love, honesty and, most of all your faith in God. You were one of the greatest men this world has ever known. Very few of us were fortunate enough to have known you, but those of us who did are richer for it. Now, it only seems fair, that after living a full and happy life for seventy-one years, instead of the burden of illness, or more pain and suffering, God has chosen to let you rest. We can find comfort in that, because now when we look up at the sky we will remember that you have gone to heaven and, you are finally happy. That was always your main goal in life and you have certainly earned your reward. We hope and pray that the time that remains for those of us left behind will be used to make you proud of us as we were of you. You were a very important man, not only in material ways, like the positions you held or the things you did, but in your worth to those of us who loved you. You gave us all a wonderful example to follow. God willing, we will all do half as well, and eventually we will all be together again in Heaven.
