Engebret Hoff was born March 21, 1861, in Norway, the son of Michael and Carrie Hoff. He passed away September 20, 1955, at his home in Hanley Falls, Minnesota, at the age of 94 years. Mr. Hoff came to Wisconsin at the age of nine years. In 1907 he came to Yellow Medicine County and operated a farm south of Clarkfield, Minnesota, moving to Hanley Falls in 1913. He took an active interest in farm co-operation for more than 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Bertha (Nielsen) Hoff and four children: Martin and Mable at home, Jesse and Ella (Mrs. Conrad Rowberg) of Hanley Falls.
