Mrs. Emma Caroline (Paulson) Haroldson was born in Joliet, Illinios, May 16, 1882. She was baptized in Swede Home Lutheran Church on September 16, 1882, by Rev. B.F. Bengtson and was confirmed in 1897. On December 18, 1902, she was marrried to Carl J. Haroldson and to this union were born 13 children, three of whom died in infancy. Mr. Haroldson died March 21, 1935. Mrs. Haroldson made her home on the farm place in Swede Prairie Township with her two sons, Harold and Herbert, and one daughter, Agnes. For the past three years Mrs. Haroldson has lived at the Clarkfield Nursing Home, where she fell and broke her hip. She was taken to the Clarkfield Community Hospital where she died of pneumonia on Tuesday morning, April 11, 1967, at the age of 84 years. Mrs. Haroldson is survived by ten children: seven sons and three daughters. They are Ragner and Fredolph of El Cerrito, California, Mrs. Helen Hanson of Mankato, Minnesota, Ethel Culbertson of Biscay, Minnesota, Emmitt of Hutchinson, Minnesota, Clarence of Boyd, Minnesota, Agnes, Herbert, Walter and Harold of Minneota, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Josephine Olson of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, and the three children who died in infancy. IN MEMORY OF EMMA C.
