Emma L. Wiegers was born December 27, 1901, to Fred and Emma (Kronemann) Lother of Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On November 4, 1925, she was united in marriage to Otto Wiegers. They farmed near Boyd, Minnesota until they retired to Montevideo, Minnesota. Emma passed away Monday, July 26, 1982, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her husband Otto; three daughters: Florence (Mrs. Leon Werner) of Dawson, Minnesota, Muriel Wiegers of Montevideo and Joan, (Mrs. Lyle Gorder) of Canby, Minnesota; four grandchildren: Jon, Tom and Mark Gorder and Mary (Gorder) Thrasher; and one brother, Arnold Lother of Boyd.
