Emma Caroline Kopitzke Riediger was born December 24, 1894, the daughter of John and Magdalena (Wiegers) Kopitzke, in Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith by Pastor Frey and confirmed by Pastor Fritz in 1908. She received her education in St. John's Lutheran School. On November 22, 1916, she was united in marriage to Edward Riediger. She lived her entire life in the Boyd and Clarkfield communities. Mrs. Riediger was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church and attended regularly. She was a devoted wife and sister, always deeply concerned about the welfare of others. She leaves to mourn, her husband, father-in-law, four sisters, seven brothers, several sisters and brothers-in-law, a host of nieces and nephews as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
