Miss Emma E. Doerr passed away at the local hospital on Friday, July 26, 1974. She was the aunt of Mrs. David S. Johnson. A resident of the Clarkfield Care Center since March, 1974, Miss Doerr was born May 12, 1884, to John and Marie (Olson) Doerr of Albert Lea, Minnesota. She lived most of her life in Washington, D.C., where she worked in government offices. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Washington, D.C., Burrall Class and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by three nieces, two nephews and sixteen grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Albert Lea First Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Anderson, officiating, and burial at Graceland Cemetery.
