Emily A. Nelson, daughter of Bengt and Anna Nelson was born in Swede Prairie Township, March 16, 1893, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Emily and her sister Hilda lived on the home place in Swede Prairie until 1962, when they moved to Clarkfield, Minnesota. Hilda passed away in December of 1972. Emily suffered with a heart condition and on July 4, she broke her hip and was taken to the Clarkfield Hospital where she died July 16, 1973. Surviving are her sister, Mrs. William Larson of Minneota, Minnesota, and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Albert Nelson of Clarkfield. IN MEMORY OF EMILY A.
