IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Emil
Friberg
October 14, 1879 – November 24, 1950
Emil Friberg was born October 14th, 1879, in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the son of John and Saraline (Nelson) Friberg. He was baptized November 9th, 1879, by Rev. Almen and confirmed November 29th, 1896, by Rev. B.F. Bengtson. He resided on the home place in Tyro all his life until June of this year, when he retired and moved with the Frank Friberg family to Clarkfield, where he passed away very suddenly from a heart attack on Friday morning, November 24th, 1950, at 71 years, one month and ten days of age. Mr. Friberg served as township treasurer from 1937 until his death; also served as church treasurer for many years, and for 40 years he served as sexton of the Fridhem cemetery. Coming from a deeply religious family, Emil was always interested in church and church work and willingly took an active part in this work whenever called upon. Blessed be his memory. Emil leaves to mourn his departure, one sister, Mrs. Olaf Anderson of Lancaster, Minnesota; and three brothers: Frank of Clarkfield, with whom he made his home, Albertine of Clarkfield, and Otto of Minneapolis; besides a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
