Elsie Pauline Roske was born June 17, 1915 in Tyro Township to parents Friedrich and Amelia (Golnick). She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian Faith at St. John's Lutheran Church, Omro Township. She was married to Elmer Piipke on March 20, 1939 by Pastor A. W. Fuerstenow. Elsie was employed at 3M. Having retired due to health problems, they moved to Dawson for a number of years. They then moved to Clarkfield Clarkview Apartments until the tornado in 1992. Elmer and Elsie lived at the Valhalla Apartments and then moved to the Clarkfield Care Center in 1994. Elsie passed away Tuesday morning, December 5, 1995 at the age of 80 years, 5 months, and 19 days. She is survived by her husband Elmer, son Marvin and wife Gloria, and grandchildren, Lorie (and Steve) Fetzik, Daryl Piipke, Glenda (and Mark) Hofteig, Danae (and Steve) Rupp, and Tammy (and fiance William Wiebe) Piipke. She is also survived by great grandchildren: David and Jacob Fetzik and Megan Hofteig; and sisters Frieda Weckwerth and Lydia (and Elvin) Stoering and sister-in-law Elda Kopitzke. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Brenda Lea Piipke. Blessed be her memory.
