Mrs. Elsa (Pipke) Nelson was born April 29, 1892, In South Dakota, to parents August and Wilhelmenia (Nehring) Ziesemer. She passed away June 21, 1974, at her Clarkfield home. Funeral services were held Monday, June 24, 1974, at St. John's Lutheran Church at Omro Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, Rev. Paul Werner officiating. Mrs. James Mamer was at the organ as the congregation sang "Asleep In Jesus, Blessed Sleep" and I Know That My Redeemer Lives." Casket Bearers were Melvin C. Anderson, Burton Boelter, Edmund Leppke, Harry Leppke, Karl Pipke and Nick Walters. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Walter Stelter of Lynd, Minnesota, and a son Alfred Pipke of San Francisco, California.
