Elmer W. Etrheim was born July 26, 1910, in Minnesota, to parents Chris and Emma (Olson) Etrheim. He joined the Army on April 22, 1942, and was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theater service medal and five overseas service bars, as well as a lapel button. He was honorably discharged as a Tech. 5 Medical Technician on November 10, 1945. Elmer passed away on May 9, 1977, at the Granite Falls Hospital, Granite Falls, Minnesota, at the age of 66. Survivors include his widow, Mayvis; one son Billy and one daughter Crystal at home; one brother Glenard Etrheim; and one sister Marjorie Lawson of Marshall, Minnesota. IN MEMORY OF ELMER W.
