Ellnora Wilamina Anna Gebers Maursetter (Mrs. Gifford), 84, died on January 27, 1987, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital. Services were held at Clarkfield Lutheran Church, Clarkfield, Minnesota, on Thursday, January 29, 1987, with Rev. Gordon Trelstad officiating. The congregation sang "Children of the Heavenly Father" and "I Know That My Redeemer Lives". Marilyn Keenan sang "Savior Like a Shepherd Lead Us" and "How Great Thou Art." Karen Donner was organist. Casket Bearers were grandsons, Tom Rolighed, Ronald Hartfiel, Gregg Wilson, Mark Fenske, Jeffrey Jorgens and Kenneth Berg. Final Resting Place is the Clarkfield City Cemetery, Clarkfield, Minnesota. She was born December 7, 1903, to Herman and Mary (Schlee) Gebers at Adair, Iowa. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith at Adair. In 1909 the young family moved to Minnesota to make their home west of Clarkfield. She received her formal education at the Clarkfield Public Schools, was confirmed at Clarkfield Lutheran Church and remained a member until her death. As a young girl she worked as a clerk in Grinager's General Store. On June 29, 1927, she and Gifford Maursetter were married. To this union two daughters were born, Earlene and Bethal. In 1950 she worked at Roger Kirkeby's dry cleaners and in 1952 she resumed her work for Anton Grinager until her retirement. She babysat for many different families in the Clarkfield area while parents took vacations. She was very active in her church activities and hospital auxiliary group. She enjoyed excellent health until June 22, 1986, when she suffered a stroke. The next three months were spent in hospitals until in September, she could once again enjoy her home. With the help of two ladies, Edna Steinke and Dorothy Ulrich, she enjoyed her friends and family in her home until January 11 when she suffered another stroke. Surviving are her daughters and their husbands, Earlene and Alton Rolighed, Bethal and Delmore Fenske; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Tom and Anita Rolighed, Laurel and Ronald Hartfiel, Ruth and Gregg Wilson, Carmen Rolighed, Jean Rolighed, Mark Fenske, Lois and Jeff Jorgens, Glenda Fenske, Barbara and Kenneth Berg, Jolayne Fenske; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, Arthur, Earl, LaVern and Kenneth Gebers. Arrangements by Lynner Funeral Home Since 1891 Clarkfield Minnesota
