Mrs. Ella Larson was born near Clarkfield, Minnesota, on January 19, 1903, the daughter of Lars and Thea (Peterson) Winson. She was baptized in the Christian faith and later renewed her faith through Confirmation at Camp Release Church. Ella grew up in the Clarkfield area and attended Country School near Clarkfield. Ella was united in marriage to Raymond P. Larson on May 3, 1928, at Montevideo, Minnesota. To this union a son, Archie Larson was born. Raymond and Ella farmed North of Clarkfield for eight years and then moved to their farm South of Clarkfield. They moved into town in 1946. Ella was a member of Spring Creek Lutheran Church of Normania Township. She loved working in her flower garden and sewing for her granchildren when they were younger. Ella also loved playing the organ at her church and going to birthday parties. Her special interest was reconstructing old dolls and sewing clothes for them. Her windows would always be decorated with them. Ella Larson passed away at the Clarkfield Care Center on Monday, May 10, 1993, at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her son, Archie P. Larson and his wife, Mavis of Waconia, Minnesota; Grandchildren: Pat (Larson) and Milan Lemke; Sandra (Larson) and John Burdorf; Jim and Joyce Larson; Kathy (Larson) and Kim Kuntz; Steve Larson and fiancee Jean Schmitz; and Paul and Geneva Muellers. She is also survived by Great Grandchildren: Kurt, Keith and Kari Lemke; Jamie Jo Burdorf; Kelly, and Kyle Kuntz; and Gretchen, Heidi and Joey Muellers; and nieces and nephews. Ella was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and four brothers and husband, Raymond.
