Elizabeth Peterson, 97, of Clarkfield, Minnesota, died Wednesday, October 8, 1986, at the Clarkfield Care Center. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 11, 1986, at the Community Bible Church in Montevideo, Minnesota, with Pastor Raymond Wuerch officiating. The organist was Joann Hildahl with solos by Phyllis Johnson. Casket Bearers were Duane Anderson, Louis Grussing, Marvin Hildahl, David Landmark, Harold Landmark and Harold Niemeyer. Final Resting Place is the Minden Cemetery, Minden, Nebraska, at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 13, 1986. She was born August 29, 1889, to John and Anna (Ackerman) Miller at Pekin, Illinois. During her childhood the family moved to Milford, Nebraska, where she lived until the time of her marriage. On December 30, 1920, she married Nels C. Petersen in Milford, Nebraska. They farmed in the Minden area. Her husband passed away on August 7, 1948. In 1951 she moved to Marengo, Illinois, with her son Wesley. In 1959 she moved to the Clarkfield area and lived with her son and family, until she moved to the Care Center in 1969. She lived there until the time of her death. She was a committed Christian and an active member of Community Bible Church, until she entered the Care Center. She is survived by son Wesley of Dalhart, Texas; two grandchildren, eight great grandchildren of Dalhart, Texas; and brother Eli Miller of Friend, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, five brothers and one great grandchild. Arrangements by Lynner Funeral Home Since 1891 Clarkfield Minnesota
