Obituary

Eli C. Walter was born March 6, 1891, to August and Katherine (Herle) Walter in a sod house near Atkinson, Nebraska. He was baptized into the Christian faith and confirmed in Holt County, Nebraska, and graduated from Midland College in Fremont, Nebraska. He married Hattie Bohn of Boyd on February 18, 1917. Three children were born: Pastor Gerhard Walter who passed away June 7, 1954, Arnold Walter of Boyd, and Eleanor (Mrs. Alfred Beninga) of Marietta, Minnesota. Survivors include his widow; two children; two daughters-in-law: Evelyn Walter of Boyd and Dorothy Walter of Grand Forks, North Dakota; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister living in Nebraska. Mr. Walter passed away February 4, 1976, at his home. IN MEMORY OF E. C.
