Obituary

Eleanor Valborg Solberg Caswell, 80, of Bloomington and formerly of Clarkfield, died Saturday, November 26, 1994, at Midwest Community Hospice, Home Place in Bloomington. A family memorial and graveside service is planned for Saturday afternoon, December 3, 1994, at the Clarkfield Cemetery. Rev. Clyde Burmeister will precide. She was born February 13, 1914, in Clarkfield to Konrad K. and Sophie Solberg. She married Radcliffe B. Caswell on June 9, 1950, at the Clarkfield Evangelical Lutheran Church. They made their home at Lomita, California. Following Rad's death in October 1984, she returned to Minnesota and lived in Bloomington. She worked as a secretary in Minneapolis and California, and was employed by Shell Oil Co. and later Mobil Oil. She was an active volunteer for over 20 years at San Pedro Peninsula Hospital, contributing more than 8,000 hours of service. She was a member of Rolling Hills Covenant Church. Survivors include sister Mrs. Arda Finch of Richfield; brother Mirl and sister-in-law Erma Solberg of Minneapolis; sister Amy Slatta of Hillsboro, Oregon; nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and four brothers. Arrangements by Lynner Funeral Home Since 1891 Clarkfield Minnesota
