Einard Joseph Lund was born June 18, 1908 in Baxter Township, Boyd, Minnesota to parents John and Annie (Welland) Lund. He attended Country School, which was located on a portion of his farm, three miles west of Clarkfield. Einard married Edna A. Johnson, on November 19, 1932 at Big Lake, Minnesota. To this union were born: Ellroy, Alden, Ronald, and LaVonne. Einard and Edna farmed west of Clarkfield until their retirement. At the present time they were residing at Canby, Minnesota. Einard J. Lund entered his eternal rest on June 16, 1998 at the Canby Community Health Services at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 29 days. He is survived by his wife Edna, and three sons: Roy (and T. P.) Lund of River Falls, WI; Alden (and Barb) Lund of Granite Falls, MN; Ronald (and Marietta) Lund, of Big Lake, MN; and daughter LaVonne (and Dale) Anhalt of Canby, MN. He is also survived by a sister Clara Anderson of Willmar, MN and nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Leonard, Selmar, Clarence and sister Esther. Einard will be remembered by his family as a very loving father, who always knew how to place them first and will be remembered by his friends as a faithful guy who was always willing to help when it was needed. He will live on in our hearts.
