Eileen Pyle, formerly of Clarkfield, died on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Granite Falls Manor at the age of 96.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10:30AM at Bergen Lutheran Church, rural Granite Falls with Pastor Steve Quist officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Eileen Verona (Martinson) Brovold Pyle was born on September 25, 1921 near Clarkfield, MN.  She was the daughter of Oliver and Clara (Ellingson) Martinson.  Eileen was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at St. Lucas Church in Normania Township.  She attended country school and later graduated from Clarkfield High School.

On November 29, 1950, Eileen was united in marriage to Ernest Brovold.  They farmed near Boyd, MN for many years until Ernest's death in 1984.  At that time, Eileen moved into Clarkfield.   Eileen married Glenn Pyle on November 18, 1989.  They continued to reside in Clarkfield.

Eileen worked for many years at the Clarkfield Care Center.  She was an active member of Bergen Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed baking (especially doughnuts), sewing, gardening, and attending activities of nieces and nephews.  Glenn and Eileen enjoyed having Sunday dinner and coffee at Trailways Café in Montevideo followed by a visit to Eileen's sister Olivine.  Eileen was a very kind and caring person who will be greatly missed.

Eileen is survived by her brother, John Martinson of Marshall, MN and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husbands: Ernest Brovold and Glenn Pyle; her parents; sisters Olivine Haroldson and Doris Brovold and brother Russell Martinson.
