Edwin Pratt was born near Montevideo, in Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota on February 25, 1876, the son of Wellington and May (Haubris) Pratt. He had lived on the farm north of Boyd since 1910. He married Christine Walz on April 20, 1902. He joined the Baxter congregation in 1949. Mr. Pratt died Saturday, October 20, 1951, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, at the age of 75 years. Surviving Mr. Pratt are his wife; seven children: Ulysses of Boyd, Nettie (Mrs. Art Oman) of Dawson, Lottie (Mrs. Clarence Hennen) of Boyd, Ralph of Clarkfield, Albert, Oliver and Charles, at home besides ten grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
