Edward Gustav Riediger was born March 24, 1891, in Boyd, Minnesota, the son of Julius Riediger and Anna (Beilfuss) Riediger. He was baptized by the traveling missionary Pastor Christoph Boettcher, and was confirmed in 1905 by Pastor Hillger of Zion Lutheran Church of Tyro Township. On November 22, 1916, Edward was married to Emma Kopitzke of Boyd, Minnesota. They had no children. Mr. Riediger passed away August 15, 1967, at his home in Clarkfield, Minnesota, at the age of 78 years. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Emma, who passed away on May 25, 1955. Three brothers survive: Paul and Fred, both of Cando, North Dakota, and Walter, who lives in Boyd, Minnesota; two sisters: Cora (Mrs. Leo Galow) of Cando, North Dakota, and Ella (Mrs. Fred Marquardt) of St. Paul, Minnesota.
