Edward Heinrick Albert Fenske was born on December 15, 1901, to Ludwig and Bertha (Wiegers) Fenske in Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. On January 1, 1902, he was baptized into the Kingdom of God in St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church by Rev. E.G. Fritz. He attended the St. John's Parochial School and was confirmed on April 16, 1916, by Rev. William Pankow. On December 15, 1940, he was united in marriage with Carrie Ningen at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Taunton by Rev. Henry Albrecht. They made their home on their farm, which was his birthplace, until January of 1963, when they retired and moved to their present home in Clarkfield. He passed away Tuesday evening, August 6, 1968, in Omro Township, at the age of 66 years. His death was the result of a heart attack. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Frederick, and a sister, Hilda. He leaves to mourn his sudden passing his bereaved wife, Carrie; one brother, Ernest of Clarkfield, and four sisters: Selma (Mrs. Henry Wiegers) of Marshall, Minnesota, Mrs. Alma Weigers of Glendale, Arizona, Lenore (Mrs. Harold Geistfeld), and Gwendolyn (Mrs. Elmer Geistfeld), both of Wood Lake, Minnesota; beside numerous nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
