E. Oscar Iverson was born on November 23, 1894, in Yellow Medicine County, to parents Andrew and Mattia (Haugen) Iverson. He was baptized and confirmed at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church. In January 1926, he was united in marriage to Eleanora Anderson. To this union were born seven children. Mr. Iverson was a blacksmith in Clarkfield for many years and farmed near Clarkfield. Upon retirement he and Mrs. Iverson moved to Willmar, where they were residing at the time of his death on November 10, 1977, at the age of 82. Mr. Iverson was a WWI veteran of the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife Eleanora, and children: Allen of Spicer, Minnesota, Mayo of Seattle, Washington, Esther (Mrs. Gordon) Grimm of Center City, Minnesota, James of Willmar, Minnesota, Wayne of Seattle, Washington, and Carol (Mrs. Keith) Crosby of Montevideo, Minnesota; sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Stewart (Emma) Johnson of Clarkfield and Mrs. Mabel Loacano of Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Iverson was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters: Rhoda Iverson and Mrs. Russell (Alice) Adamson; five brothers and one sister. IN MEMORY OF E.
