Edna Lenora Larson was born April 26, 1904 to parents Carl and Sophie (Myhre) Wangsness in Wendell, Minnesota. Edna was also baptized at Wendell. Following graduation from high school she attended Moorhead State Teachers College and then taught elementary school in Brandon and Boyd, Minnesota. Edna married Harold Larson at Fergus Falls, Minnesota on July 14, 1928. To this union three children were born: Harold, Jr., Donna, and Alan. Harold and Edna farmed near Boyd. Edna Larson passed away on Monday, Christmas Day, December 25, 1995 at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa, Minnesota at the age of 91 years, 7 months, and 30 days. She is survived by her children: Donna (and Harold) Reek of Clarissa, Alan (and Elaine) Larson of Montevideo, daughter-in-law Dorothy Larson, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, and sister Charlotte Stromsland of Addisson, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold in November 1975, son Harold Jr. in March 1991, granddaughters Gwen Larson and Bonnie Larson and sister Myrtle Wangsness. Harold and Edna enjoyed traveling to Florida and Texas during the winter months. She was a real Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Viking fan for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. Blessed be her memory.
