Edna Mathilda Thompson was born in Rio, Wisconsin, February 14, 1895, to parents Ole and Ingeborg (Hanson) Evenson. Edna lived in Wisconsin with her parents until her marriage to Thomas J. Thompson, June 8, 1921. The Thompsons farmed near Hazel Run, Minnesota, until they retired to Granite Falls, Minnesota, in 1956. Mrs. Thompson passed away Sunday, August 1, 1982, at the Granite Manor, Granite Falls, Minnesota. She is survived by her son John of Mohtomedi, Minnesota; granddaughter Stephanie Uselton of Forest Lake, Minnesota; three great grandchildren; and brother Oscar Evenson of Rio, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, three sisters and two brothers.
