Edna Frances was born November 29, 1910, the oldest of two daughters of Frank and Myrtle (Knieff) Busse of Amiret, Minnesota. She attended the Amiret Public Grade School and was graduated from the Marshall Public High School with the class of 1929. On December 6, 1935, she was united in marriage to Walter Lee Stafford of Marshall. To this union four sons were born: Melvin LeRoy, Glenn Earl, Nile Clayton and Daryl Ivan. Mrs. Stafford passed away on Friday, December 23, 1966, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital at the age of 56 years, after a lingering illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Busse. Left to mourn her passing beside her immediate family are three grandchildren; her mother, Myrtle Busse; and one sister, Mrs. Lynn Jackson of Marshall. She was employed at the hospital for several years at which time, the doctors discovered her illness. From that time, the doctors, nurses, employees and friends gave of their own time and effort in helping Edna to be as comfortable as possible right up to the time of her passing, for which the family is very grateful.
