Mrs. Edith B. Lundy was born January 14, 1900, at Duncombe, Iowa, to parents Peter and Rachael (Peterson) Davidson. She was baptized at Duncombe, Iowa, and confirmed by Rev. Martin Romstad at the St. Lucas Lutheran Church of rural Cottonwood, Minnesota. She was married to John T. Lundy on February 24, 1919, in Cottonwood, Minnesota, by Rev. Romstad. To this union ten children were born with nine surviving her. The family farmed in the area all through the years. In February of 1969, the couple observed fifty years of wedded life. She was a member of the Israel Lutheran Church and active in her church attendance. She was a loving wife and grandmother and will be greatly missed by many. She was admitted to the Marshall Hospital, Marshall, Minnesota, on Friday, January 8, 1971, where she passed away on Saturday, January 9, 1971, at the age of 70 years. Along with her husband, John, she is survived by the following two daughters and seven sons: Laurine (Mrs. Clair Soppeland), Darlene (Mrs. Lloyd Rasmussen), Virgil, Lowell and David, all of the Twin City area, Lloyd, Boyd, and Jaurold of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, Eugene of Watertown, South Dakota, and John, Jr. of Clarkfield, Minnesota; 32 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Hanson of Benson, Minnesota; and one brother, Orville Davidson of Minneota, Minnesota.
