Eddie Benjamin Brenden was born February 2, 1889, at Albaton, Iowa, the son of Helge and Marit (Dokken) Brenden. He was baptized March 3, 1889, in the Skien Lutheran Church at Albaton by Rev. H. Yderstad. The family moved to a farm in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, in 1904. He was confirmed in St. Lucas Lutheran Church by Rev. Martin Romstad in 1905. He resided on the farm until 1955 when he moved to Cottonwood, Minnesota, where he lived until the time of his death. He contracted rheumatism at an early age and suffered considerably from this all of his life. He passed away February 16, 1956, at the age of 67 years and 14 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Hulda (Mrs. Oscar Mauland). He is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Hamlet of Minneapolis, Minnie (Mrs. Carl Anderson) Selma (Mrs. Anton J. Anderson), Alfred and Nettie (Mrs. Gerhard Mauland) all of Cottonwood, and two nieces and six nephews. IN MEMORY OF EDDIE B.
