Obituary

Earl Eugene Olson, 62, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 1990, at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, Minnesota. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 1990, at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, with Pastor Bruce Kuenzel officiating. Burial was in the East Yellow Medicine Lutheran Cemetery. Earl Eugene Olson was born September 12, 1927, in Hanley Falls to Edwin A. and Christine (Midboe) Olson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church of Hanley Falls. He attended school in Hanley Falls. Following graduation from high school, Earl worked with his father for a number of years as an electrician. He then spent considerable time working for Farm Service in Willmar, finally returning to Hanley Falls where he served his community at various jobs that developed. His last two years were spent living in Granite Falls, Minnesota, and working for Project Turnabout. Survivors include his mother, Christine Olson of Hanley Falls; one brother, Dr. Robert Olson of Faribault, Minnesota; and five sisters, Mrs. Curtis (Helen) Wilson of Clarkfield, Minnesota, Mrs. Harvey (Maxine) Reishus of New London, Minnesota, Mrs. LeRoy (Donna) Schmidt of Wood Lake, Minnesota, Mrs. John (Verna) Olson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Mrs. Lillian Knox of Fort Yates, North Dakota. Preceding Earl in death were his father, Edwin and one brother, Richard Olson. Arrangements by Lynner Funeral Home Since 1891 Clarkfield Minnesota
