Dorothy B. (Peterson) Walls was born on September 15, 1925, at Granite Falls, Minnesota, to parents Murray and Nellie (Erickson) Peterson. She was baptized and confirmed at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Dorothy attended school in Granite Falls and graduated in 1942. She went to work for the Granite Tribune. Dorothy married Elmer L. Walls on June 9, 1956, at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Elmer and Dorothy made their home in Clarkfield, where she worked for the Advocate. They were the parents of Kari and Karla and Stacy. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, Ladies Aid, Bunko and especially her grandchildren. She loved to 'joke' with all of them. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary, belonged to Ladies Aid and was a member of Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Dorothy moved to Valhalla Apartments in February of 2007. She passed away at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital on Thursday, January 3, 2008, at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 19 days. She is survived by her husband, Elmer, of Clarkfield and her children: Kari (and Francis) Staab of Clarkfield, Karla (and friend Bruce Lindquist) Walls of Willmar, Minnesota, and Stacy Walls of Crosby Minnesota. She is also survived by grandchildren Tasha (Jeremy) Martin of Clarkfield, Ashley (fiance Nathan Klossner) Staab of Beaufort, Minnesota, Jenna (Trevor) Luepke of Granite Falls and Daniel Walls of Crosby. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Kiersten Luepke and Addison Martin and sister Marion Anderson of Minneapolis and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Evelyn Elton and brothers Myrel (Bud) Peterson, Wayne Peterson and Stanley Peterson. Blessed be her memory. In Loving Memory of Dorothy B.
