Dorothy A. (Olson) Larson May 11, 1933 ~ April 6, 2013 Dorothy Larson was born May 11, 1933, in Chippewa County, Minnesota, to parents Allen and Rose (Kling) Olson. She attended country school and graduated from Montevideo High School. Following her graduation, she worked for a lawyer in Montevideo. Dorothy married Harold Larson on December 17, 1955, in Montevideo, Minnesota. They were the parents of six children. Harold and Dorothy farmed south of Boyd until Harold's death in 1991. At that time she moved to Arizona. Dorothy worked as an Activities Director in a health care facility for many years in Arizona. She retired about 12 years ago when her eye sight failed her. She remained in Arizona until her death. She sold 'Christmas Around the World' and traveled around the world. She also enjoyed making quilts and made them for all her family. Dorothy was visiting family in Minnesota at the time of her death. She passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 26 days. She is survived by three sons and one daughter: Greg Larson of Grand Junction, Colorado, Brad Larson of Apache Junction, Arizona, Brian Larson of Vancouver, Washington, Gail Larson of Plymouth, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Zachary and Ashley Olesen. She is also survived by a brother, Royal (Norma) Olson of Montevideo; two sisters, Leona Lyngen of Montevideo and June Krogstad of Granite Falls; and several nephews and nieces.
