Dorothy Ione McDonald was born on January 26, 1915, in South Sioux City, Nebraska, to parents Edward and Leah Jimison. She passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota, at the age of 92 years and 11 months. She is survived by her children: Duane Thompson of Denver, Colorado, Colleen (Jim) Shepherd of San Diego, California, and Tony (Lynette) McDonald of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by daughters-in-law: Tony Thompson of San Francisco, California, and Linda (Chuck) Simeon of Moorhead, Minnesota; grandchildren: Kim Thompson of San Francisco, California, Rhonda Thompson of San Francisco, California, Grant (Becky) Velde of Granite Falls, Minnesota, Kelli Velde of Chula Vista, California, Jason Simeon of Fargo, North Dakota, and Jake (Gen) Velde of Waverly, Iowa; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Clifford Thompson, and Richard McDonald; son Ronnie Thompson; brother Alan; and sisters Lonnie and Irene.
